Keystone Heights and Union County high schools will each have two senior volleyball players compete in The Prep Zone All-Star Showcase, presented by 399Sports on Thursday, Nov. 21, at Legacy Park Multipurpose Center in Alachua.
Four teams will play two semifinal games at 6 p.m., with consolation and championship games to be played 30 minutes after the semifinal games have ended.
Union Head Coach Tifani Knox will be one of the event’s coaches. She and Columbia Head Coach Trudy Andrews, a former UCHS head coach, will take the reins of the North All-Star team, which will include Union players Layla Barber (outside hitter) and Kamryn Southerland (setter).
The North team will also consist of Branford’s Addison Folsom and Andi Sabourin, Columbia’s Kayla Goodloe and Avery Sandlin, First Christian’s Dilyn Koon, Fort White’s Cassidy Nesselt and Lafayette’s Libby Beach and Rylee Skillman.
Keystone’s Mya Jennings (opposite/outside hitter/defensive specialist) and Emma Stanley (middle blocker/middle hitter) will be part of the East team.
The East team, coached by Oak Hall’s Perry McDonald and Eastside’s Rachel Williams, will also consist of Eastside’s Samiyah Daniels, Kieara Hall and Janna Williams, Interlachen’s Brianna Webber, Oak Hall’s Sara Duggan, Cassidy McDonald and Sophie Thompson, Palatka’s Mackenzie Thomas and Kenadie Wilkinson and P.K. Yonge’s Trinity Jacobs.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students. Children under 5 will be admitted free.
Cash and credit cards will be accepted.
