Another $1m lottery win in Bradford

HAMPTON — The Florida Lottery reported that Brandon Trinckes, 24, of Hampton, claimed a $1 million prize from the $5,000,000 CASHWORD Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

Trinckes chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $780,000.

purchased his winning ticket from MJM Food Store, located at 10270 U.S. Highway 301 South in Hampton. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The $20 game, $5,000,000 CASHWORD, features eight top prizes of $5 million and 24 second tier prizes of $1 million.

Scratch-Off games comprised approximately 77 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2021-2022.

This is the second big lottery win in Bradford County, the first for Thanksgiving, and now Christmas.

In November, Ryan Sodek purchased his winning ticket from Winn-Dixie in Starke.

Instead of receiving periodic payments totaling $1 million, Sodek also chose to receive his prize in one lump-sum payment.
