Bradford deputies arrested a man they described as autistic after a woman accused him of molesting her over a period of years and, at one point, sexually battering her.
Emanuel David Kiser, 19, was arrested for lewd and lascivious behavior by an offender aged 18 or younger on a victim aged 12 or younger and sexual battery by an offender aged 18 or younger on a victim aged 12 or younger.
According to court papers, the victim told deputies in July 2022 that the defendant touched her breasts, thighs, and buttocks both over and underneath her clothing numerous times over several years.
The victim added that one time, when the two were alone, the defendant told her to remove her clothing and then sexually battered her. The victim stated that the abuse stopped when a witness walked in on the defendant while he was abusing the girl.
Deputies wrote in court papers that the defendant denied he ever partook of any sexual misconduct with the victim.
“He stated that the two were very close as children and that they played a lot,” wrote Detective Michael Garmon in a sworn complaint. “He also stated that lots of this playing consisted of wrestling but that there were no times when the two were naked.”
