Nate Bardier was a runner-up for the Keystone Heights High School boys golf team, which came out on top of Columbia and Lafayette in a Sept. 3 match at The Country Club at Lake City.
The Indians had a team score of 175 to finish two strokes ahead of Lafayette. Columbia had a score of 180.
Bardier and Columbia’s Carson Helms tied for second, with each shooting a 41. Bardier had a birdie and made par on three holes.
Lafayette’s Cooper Kerby was the medalist with a score of 39.
Keystone’s Jacob Beach and Luke Lewis each made par on four holes, placing fourth and fifth, respectively, with scores of 43 and 44.
The Indians’ Will Begue and Bryler Singletary each shot a 47 to tie for 10th. Each made par on one hole.
Keystone also got a 53 from Parker Pescara, who made par on one hole.
The Indians will play Palatka on Thursday, Sept. 10, at the Palatka Golf Club at 4 p.m. Keystone then plays host Newberry on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Alachua’s Turkey Creek Golf and Country Club at 4 p.m.
