Bradford County Education Foundation has some surprises in store for this year’s chamber banquet, and any attendee could be a winner.

According to BCEF’s Cheryl Canova and Lila Sellars, 60 mystery boxes will be up for grabs, literally. Purchasing a $20 ticket will give a guest the chance to pull a number, and each number is assigned to one of the mystery boxes. Each box is guaranteed to reveal a prize worth $25 and up.

Winners could take home cash, gift cards, give baskets, bath and body sets, candles, cookware, a bar set, a massager or a gift certificate for a massage, Tornado merchandise, a pickleball set, emergency travel kit, Craftsman tools, a Vera Bradley blanket, a cooler or drink container, a portable speaker or wireless headphones, an Amazon Fire Stick, or jewelry, including earring and necklace sets. Buy one draw or more. Every draw is a winner.

The foundation will also have its silent auction where guests bid on items, including dine-around opportunities to local shops and restaurants, a ping-pong table and a wide variety of other items.

For a chance at $250, purchase a card for $10, and later in the evening a drawing will determine the winner. Buying more cards means increased the chance to win.

Of course, all the proceeds from this and all of Bradford County Education Foundation’s fundraisers support public schools, helping teachers and students get what they need to be successful.

North Florida Regional Chamber of Commerce’s annual meeting and banquet is set for this Saturday, Feb. 8. The social hour begins at 5 p.m. and the banquet begins at 6 p.m. at the Gov. Charley E. Johns Conference Center in Starke. The chamber will honor its Board of Governors and present special awards to deserving businesses and individuals.
