BHS’ Adkins earns 3rd place at Baldwin meet

Anna Adkins ran her way to a third-place finish at a meet at Baldwin High School.

Anna Adkins earned a third-place finish for Bradford High School at an Oct. 7 cross-country meet hosted by Baldwin.

Adkins, one of 17 runners in the girls field, finished with a time of 25:52, while teammate Mia Olesen ran a sixth-place time of 27:28.

Kayleigh Dyal also ran for Bradford, finishing with a time of 29:39.

On the boys side, the Tornadoes’ Kayden Lee placed 12th out of 39 with a time of 22:45. Liam Reeves ran a 13th-place time of 22:48.

Also running for Bradford were Kolson Lee (25:30) and Caden Eison (29:25).

Prior to the meet, Bradford competed in the Oct. 3 Craig Speziale Shark Bite at Night Invitational in Ponte Vedra.

Steven Carter placed 59th out of 117 in the boys race with a time of 20:09. Other BHS results were Reeves 23:10, Kayden Lee 23:22 and Kolson Lee 26:31.

The 59-member girls field included Adkins, who ran a 41st-place time of 24:42. Olesen also ran, finishing with a time of 27:07.

Dyal placed 54th out of 91 in the junior varsity girls race with a time of 28:34.

Eison competed in the JV boys race, finishing with a time of 31:24.
