BHS boys get 62-48 road win over Broncos

Jordan Cason poured in 20 points and grabbed 16 rebounds as the Bradford High School boys basketball team went on the road and defeated Class 5A Middleburg 62-48 on Dec. 20.

It was the Class 3A Tornadoes’ fourth game against a 5A school. Bradford (6-2) is 3-1 in those games.

Cason, who is the Tornadoes leading scorer and rebounder (14 points per game, 8 rebounds per game), has now posted a double-double in three straight games.

Kyren Green, who had six rebounds, scored 10 points against Middleburg, while Steven Carter, Jy’Quez Cason and Maliki Cobarris each added eight points.

Bradford also got six points from Breion Johnson and two points from Jonathan Andrews.

Jy’Quez Cason led the team in assists with seven, while Cobarris added four.

The Tornadoes return to action with a home game against Bell on Saturday, Jan. 4, at 7:30 p.m.
