Bradford High School celebrated David Hurse Night in honor of the man who coached the football team for 29 years and guided the Tornadoes to state titles in 1965 and 1966. Hurse’s widow, Myrna Lou Hurse (center), is pictured with Athletic Director Sampson Jackson (left) and Principal Angela Ward. She was presented with flowers and a plaque that will forever reserve one of the stadium’s red seats in Coach Hurse’s honor. Former players of Hurse’s (in any sport) and cheerleaders from that time were also present on the field during the presentation at halftime of the Tornadoes’ 14-12 win over American Collegiate Academy.
