Bradford High School got a second-place finish from Branson Johns, but lost to visiting Middleburg in a Sept. 3 boys golf match.
The Tornadoes had a team score of 167, which left them trailing Middleburg by five strokes.
Johns and Middleburg’s Jackson Bork tied for the runner-up position, with each shooting a 40. Johns had a birdie and made par on three holes.
Middleburg’s Logan Wahlstrom was the medalist with a score of 35.
Bradford’s Steven Carter and Patrick Pendarvis each shot a 42 to finish in a tie for fourth. Carter had a birdie and made par on three holes, while Pendarvis made par on four holes.
Tucker Griffis, who had a birdie and made par on two holes, finished in a tie for sixth for the Tornadoes with a score of 43, while teammate K.B. LeMire placed 10th with a score of 52.
Bradford’s Collin Alvarez, who made par on one hole, finished with a score of 61.
