Hayden Knight led the Bradford High School golf team, which took second in an Aug. 30 tri-match hosted by Union County High School at Lake City’s Quail Heights Country Club.
Lafayette won the match with a score of 173. The Tornadoes had a score of 210, which was 17 strokes ahead of Union.
Knight placed fourth, making par on two holes and finishing with a score of 47. Bradford’s Cody Spratlin, who made par on three holes, was fifth with a score of 48.
The Tigers’ Caleb Ripplinger, who made par on two holes, was seventh with a score of 52, while the Tornadoes’ Jacob Brugh, who also made par on two holes, was eighth with a score of 54.
Union’s Tucker Williams, Grant Dicks and Patrick Maxwell placed 10th, 11th and 12th, respectively, with scores of 57, 58 and 60. Williams made par on one hole.
Charles Zinke placed 14th for Bradford with a score of 61.
The Tigers’ Zoe Elixson and Colby Dukes placed 15th and 16th, respectively, with scores of 62 and 65. Union’s Jordan Seay and Bradford’s Troy Smith tied for 17th, each shooting a 67. Smith made par on one hole.
Bradford’s Kaylee Devore had a 19th-place score of 78.
