The Florida High School Athletic Association released its inaugural power rankings for football on Sept. 26, with Bradford sitting at fourth in Class 2S.
Bradford (4-0) trails Fort Meade (4-0), Walton (4-0) and Bishop Verot (5-0).
The rest of the top 10 in 2S consists of Suwannee (4-0), Wakulla (5-0), Cocoa (3-1), Titusville (5-0), Pensacola Catholic (3-1) and Marianna (4-0).
Each classification is made up of four regions. Bradford is the top-ranked team in Region 2, with the rest of the top 10 as follows: Yulee (3-1), Palatka (4-0), Eastside (2-2), Baldwin (3-2), Fernandina Beach (2-2), Baker County (1-3), North Marion (1-2), Lake Weir (2-2) and Keystone Heights (2-2).
Keystone is ranked 42nd in 2S as a whole.
In Class 1R, Union County (2-2) is ranked 16th. The Tigers are ranked fourth in Region 3 behind Lafayette (3-1), Fort White (4-1) and Madison County (2-1).
Region 3 consists of seven teams in all, with Branford (3-1), Hilliard (2-2) and Hamilton County (2-2) ranked behind Union.
The top team in Class 1R as a whole is Williston, coached by Robby Pruitt, who led Union to state titles in 1994, 1995 and 1996.
The season’s final power rankings will determine at-large playoff qualifiers as well as postseason seeding.
