BHS, KHHS flag teams are 1, 3 seeds in District 4-1A tourney

Bradford earned the top seed, while Keystone Heights is the third seed in the District 4-1A flag football tournament, which begins Monday, April 14.

The Tornadoes (10-2) have a first-round bye, but the Indians (8-7) will host sixth seed Palatka (3-7) in an April 14 quarterfinal at 6 p.m. If Keystone wins, it’ll travel to Alachua to play second seed Santa Fe (9-1) in a semifinal game on Tuesday, April 15, at 6 p.m.

Bradford will host fourth seed Newberry (4-4) or fifth seed Florida School for the Deaf and Blind (5-7) in the other semifinal game, which will be played on April 15, at 6 p.m. Newberry and FSDB play each other on April 14.

The championship game will be played Thursday, April 17. If Bradford advances from the semifinals, it will host that game at 6 p.m.

If Keystone advances past the semifinal round, and Bradford doesn’t, the Indians would host the championship game.
