Bradford High School senior Amari Jones was named a Heisman High School Scholarship winner at the school level.

The Heisman High School Scholarship program, presented by Acceptance Insurance, recognizes student-athletes who have a weighted GPA of at least 3.0 and who are “proven leaders and role models within their school and community.”

Jones, who plays quarterback on the BHS football team, was one of 2,881 school winners throughout the U.S. If he had been selected as one of 100 state winners, he would’ve received a scholarship of at least $1,000.

State winners who are selected as national finalists receive $2,000 scholarships, while national winners receive $10,000 scholarships.
