Bradford High School’s volleyball team hosted Orange Park on Sept. 1, defeating the Raiders 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-15).

The Tornadoes (3-3) got seven kills from Elaina Smith and six kills and three service aces from Tatum Burkhalter.
Autumn DeKorver and Manduo Wei led the team in aces with five apiece. Wei also led the team in digs with eight, while DeKorver had six.
Kingslee Phillips recorded a team-high 13 assists to go along with seven digs.
In the Sept. 3 issue of the Telegraph-Times-Monitor, stats for Bradford’s 3-1 home loss on Aug. 25 weren’t available by deadline. Phillips and Shelby Cole each recorded double digits in assists with 15 and 14, respectively, while Burkhalter led the team in kills in that match with 11. Cole and Burkhalter also had 12 and 10 digs, respectively.
Wynter Barrington and Laila Roberts each had six kills, with Roberts also recording two blocks.
The Tornadoes got a team-high 16 digs from Wei. DeKorver and Ella Hewett added 11 and six, respectively.
Cole, DeKorver and Hewett each had two aces as well.
Bradford will host Keystone Heights on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 7 p.m., following a 5:30 p.m. junior varsity match. The varsity Tornadoes will then play in the Sept. 11-12 Wawa River City Classic at the Jacksonville Juniors Volleyball Association Training Center.
