KEYSTONE HEIGHTS— The Florida Highway Patrol said a 39-year-old motorcyclist was killed after he left a county road and struck a mailbox.
The agency said the crash occurred around 2:49 a.m. Saturday, July 15.
The biker was traveling south on Southeast County Road 21B in Bradford County, approaching the intersection with Southeast Eighth Avenue between Speedville and the Keystone Heights RV Resort.
FHP said the bike left the roadway and continued on the grass shoulder, striking a mailbox and overturning. The Keystone Heights man was thrown from the motorcycle and found not far from the vehicle.
First responders pronounced the man dead at the scene, and FHP reported that he was wearing a helmet.
