Bradford Middle School competed at the March 2 North Florida Youth Track League Series number-two event in Jacksonville, with the girls team earning two wins and five runner-up finishes.
The 4x100m relay team of Chelsie Curtis, Kaliyah James, Jaleigha Bolden and Takayla Barnes ran a first-place time of 55.73, while Gabrial Hinds won the shot put with a distance of 26-0.99.
Hinds was also runner-up in the 100m hurdles with a time of 22.76 and third in the discus at 39-6.41.
James earned second-place finishes in the 100m (13.36) and long jump (13-5.42).
Tinsley Fortune and Anna Adkins were runners-up in the 400m and 3000m, respectively, with times of 1:08 and 12:58. Fortune was also fourth in the 200m (30.77), while Adkins was sixth in the 1500m (6:21).
Barnes placed fifth in the 100m (14.19), while Jaslene Coley was 10th in the 200m (32.34).
Bolden had an eighth-place distance of 10-5.59 in the long jump, while Curtis was 10th (10-2.44).
Bradford also had the following girls results: 100m — London Lawrence 15.01, Coley 15.48, Bolden 15.67, Emma West 15.83, Abbigale Sellers 16.45; and 200m — West 32.7, Bolden 33.82, Briana Wimpy 34.98, Sellers 35.19.
The boys team had one win, with Jaland Carey, Kingston Carroll, Julius Givings and Caiden Carn teaming up to run 50.16 in the 4x100m.
Givings placed fourth in the 100m (12.91), while Tremeze White was fifth in the 200m (26.27).
Carey and Coley had times of 14.0 and 14.97, respectively in the 100m, while Ethan Ansley had a time of 6:28 in the 1500m.
