U.S. Congresswoman Kat Cammack is welcomed to Melrose by First Sergeant Sylvia C. Hunter of Alpha Company, and Cadet Major Owen E. Hunter, Executive Officer of the Indian Battalion, Keystone Heights High School JROTC.
The McRae Family has lived in Melrose since 1855, and recently adopted two miles along State Road 21 in the Banana Mill area as part of the Florida Department of Transportation’s Adopt-A-Highway program.
The Merry Manly Men of Melrose built this mini replica of Mossman Hall, the community center of Melrose. Stasia Pieczenik, of Mossman Hall, and homeschool students from the 4 Corners Community School filled the float and tossed stuffed animals to the children watching along the road.
