Bradford County 4-H Livestock Judging Team wins 2025 state title

Support team as it heads to national contest

The Bradford County 4-H Livestock Judging Team won the overall team championship at the state livestock judging competition in Gainesville on April 12. The team placed first in the following divisions: High Point Team Overall, High Point Team in Reasons, High Point Team in Sheep and Goats, and Reserve High Point Team in Cattle.

Team member Madison Stein was the number one overall individual, placing first in the following divisions: Sheep and Goats, Reasons, and Swine. Another team member, Jake Markham, was the 7th High Point Overall individual, and 3rd High Point individual in the cattle division.

This team will represent the state of Florida and compete against 48 other state winning teams in November at the North American International Livestock Exposition in Louisville, Kentucky.

Bradford County 4-H also produced the winning state livestock judging team in 2023.

The team will continue to train for the national contest over the next six months. Trainings will include team practices, farm visits, and attending livestock judging camps at the University of Florida and the University of Tennessee during the summer.
