Bradford County students can eat free this summer

Bradford County School District is once again offering its Summer BreakSpot program, providing free breakfast and lunch to all children 18 and under at six locations this summer. No registration is required and there are no income restrictions — all kids are welcome.

Meals will be served at the following sites:

 

Bradford High School — 581 N. Temple Ave., Starke

Breakfast: 7:45–8:30 a.m. | Lunch: 11 a.m.–noon

June 1–July 24, Monday–Thursday

 

Bradford Middle School — 527 N. Orange St., Starke

Breakfast: 7:45–8:15 a.m. | Lunch: 11–11:30 a.m.

June 1–25, Monday–Thursday

 

Bradford Elementary School — 3856 SE 144th St., Starke

Breakfast: 7:30–8:15 a.m. | Lunch: 11:30 a.m.–noon

June 1–25, Monday–Thursday

 

Bradford Faith Community Center — 721 Old Lawtey Road, Starke

Breakfast: 8–8:30 a.m. | Lunch: noon–12:30 p.m.

New this year: Grab & Go meal boxes at Starke Elementary

In addition to the sit-down meal sites, Bradford County Food Service is introducing a new Grab & Go option this summer. Every Thursday from 1–2 p.m., families can pick up a free seven-day meal kit — containing both breakfast and lunch for each day — through the student drop-off line on the side of Starke Elementary, 1000 W. Weldon St. Boxes are available on a first-come, first-served basis and will be distributed June 4 through July 16.
