Bradford FFA students show poultry champs at the fair

Bradford’s senior FFA chapter received the grand championship and reserve grand championship awards at this year’s Bradford Agricultural Fair.

The grand champion was a White Leghorn hen, while the reserve grand champion, was a Red Cochin hen.

The chapter also had an additional entry in a Golden Sebright hen that earned a red ribbon.

Avery DeKorver earned four blue ribbons for a Naked-Neck Turken hen, a Mille Fleur hen and two Mille Fleur roosters. She also earned two red ribbons for White-Crested Polish hen and a White-Crested Polish rooster.

Reagan Adams, Jasper Ballard, Koy Hartley, Gavin Key, Kyndal Key and Blayne Taylor each earned two blue ribbons each: Adams for a Mille Fleur hen and Mille Fleur rooster, Ballard for an Australorp hen and a Speckled Sussex hen, Hartley for Cochin rooster and a Naked-Neck Turken rooster, Gavin Key for a Black Australorp hen and a Crested Polish hens, Kyndal Key for a Welsummer hen and a White Leghorn hen, and Taylor for two Mille Fleur hens.

Taylor also earned two red ribbons for a Cochin-Silkie hen and a Golden Sebright hen, while Ballard earned a white ribbon for a mixed rooster.

The following earned one blue ribbon: Hallie Ballard for a Black Australorp hen, Hunter Brewster for a Black Australorp hen, Jackson Brewster for a Black Sexlink hen, Adeline DeKorver for a Modern Game Bantam rooster, Shalyn Hannah for a Black Australorp hen, Mckynzie Stopka for an Ameraucana hen, James Taylor for a Barred-Rock Hen, Nick Ward for a bearded Belgian d’Anver rooster and Shaun Ward for a bearded Belgian d’Anver rooster.

Adeline DeKorver also earned two red ribbons for an Orpington hen and a Sapphire Splash hen. Hallie Ballard received a red ribbon for a Lavender Orpington hen, while James Taylor received a red ribbon for an Australorp hen.

Hannah exhibited a bearded rooster that received a white ribbon.

Autumn DeKorver earned two red ribbons for a German Bielefelder hen and a Silkie hen, while the following earned one red ribbon each: Delaney Crosby for a Black Brahma rooster, Jeffery Eaves for a Black Copper Maran rooster, Barrett Giles for a Mille Fleur rooster, Blayne Hartley for a Leghorn rooster, Layne Hartley for a Speckled Sussex hen, Wayne Hartley for a mixed rooster and Dakota Johnson for a Silkie hen.

Layne Hartley also received a white ribbon for a Silkie rooster, while Wayne Hartley received a white ribbon for a mixed rooster.

Madelyn Ballard earned three white ribbons for a Cochin hen, a mixed hen and a mixed rooster.
