Bradford High School’s golf team hosted Columbia on Aug. 25 at the Starke Golf and Country Club, with the Tigers winning by 32 strokes.

The Tornadoes finished with a team score of 195 and were led by Jacob Brugh, who was third with a score of 42. Brugh, who shot par on five holes, finished five strokes behind medalist Spencer McCranie and three behind Connor Williams.

Bradford’s Cody Spratlin, who made par on one hole, tied for seventh with a score of 48.

The Tornadoes also got a ninth-place score of 49 from Hayden Knight, who made par on four holes, while Troy Smith and Charles Zink tied for 10th with a score of 56. Smith made par on two holes, while Zink made par on three.

Bradford opened the season with an Aug. 23 road match against Keystone Heights, but weather permitted the match from being completed. Before play was called, Spratlin, who was in sixth place at the time, was leading the team.

The Tornadoes will travel to Quail Heights Country Club in Lake City on Tuesday, Aug. 30, to take on host Union County and Lafayette at 4 p.m.
