The streets have been decked out and the tree has been lit, which can only mean it’s Christmastime in downtown Starke again.

The annual Christmas on Call Street event is Saturday, Dec. 14. Streets will close at 10 a.m., and a variety of street vendors will be open for business at 11 a.m. alongside the many shops and restaurants that bring back this fun for the family event every year. Come and browse what they have to offer, finish up your shopping list and treat yourself to a great meal, then walk it off at the car show, which begins at 2 p.m.

Spend the day soaking up the holiday vibes, but stick around for the main event. Starke’s annual Christmas Parade will light up downtown. The parade beings at 6 p.m. by the Starke ER and will make its way down Call Street with floats and vehicles draped in holiday lights and baubles—your friends and neighbors wishing you and yours a merry Christmas.

Wave to Santa and Mrs. Claus as they ride into town, and meet them for a family photo after the parade at the North Florida Regional Chamber of Commerce, which organizes the parade every year. Remember, stations along the parade route will be gifting candy for the kiddos as well.

Space is limited and reservations are required for the 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning Breakfast with Santa at the Downtown Grill. Be sure to secure your spot by calling 904-964-9253.
