Clark selected for 1st-team all-conference again for CCF

College of Central Florida sophomore softball player Leah Clark earned first-team All-Citrus Conference honors after again being one of the top offensive players for the Ocala junior college.

Clark, a 2023 Union County High School graduate who was also a first-team all-conference selection her freshman season, led the Patriots in hits (69), home runs (10), RBI (54), runs scored (52). She shared the team high in doubles (17) and stolen bases (30). Clark was successful on all of her stolen-base attempts and was 75 for 75 in her two-year career.

The numbers, which also include a .390 batting average that was second on the team, led to Clark being named Central Florida’s Offensive Player of the Year. She also received the James D. Harvey Department of Athletics Achievement Award.

Clark has committed to Florida International University to continue her career.

Some of her highlights this past season included:

—2 for 3 with a run scored in a 9-1 win over Polk State Jan. 24.

—3 for 4 with a double, a home run, four RBI and a run scored in 14-1 win over USAF on Jan. 26

—3 for 4 with a stolen base in a 5-4 loss to Volunteer State on Feb. 8.

—2 for 4 with a home run, three RBI, a run scored and two stolen bases in a 7-4 win over Polk State on Feb. 27.

—2 for 4 with a double and a run scored in a 10-2 win over Polk State on Feb. 27.

—3 for 4 with a double, two home runs, five RBI and two runs scored in a 13-7 loss to Eastern Florida State on March 1.

—Four stolen bases in an 8-0 win over Florida State College at Jacksonville on March 3.

—2 for 5 with a double, a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in a 10-0 win over Florida State College at Jacksonville on March 3.

—2 for 5 with two RBI, a run scored and two stolen bases in a 13-7 win over St. Petersburg College on March 4.

—2 for 4 with a run scored and a stolen base in a 5-3 win over Hillsborough on March 11.

—2 for 3 with a home run, three RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base in a 19-2 win over Hillsborough on March 11.

—3 for 3 with a home run, two RBI, a run scored and two stolen bases in a 14-3 loss to St. Johns River State on March 12.

—2 for 4 with an RBI, three runs scored and two stolen bases in a 12-11 win over Seminole State on March 25.

—2 for 4 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in a 10-4 loss to Daytona State on April 1.

—2 for 4 with a run scored and two stolen bases in a 9-2 loss to Polk State on April 3.

—2 for 5 with two doubles, four RBI and a run scored in a 16-15 loss to Polk State on April 3.

—4 for 5 with three RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases in a 13-6 win over St. Petersburg on April 8.

—2 for 3 with a triple, two RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in an 11-3 win over Hillsborough on April 15.

—3 for 4 with a double, a home run, four RBI and three runs scored in a 20-1 win over Hillsborough on April 15.

—2 for 4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in a 10-8 loss to Florida Southwestern State on April 17.
