KEYSTONE HEIGHTS—City Manager Lynn Rutkowski told the city council that one of their colleagues, Bobby Brown is out of a hospital intensive care unit and is awaiting transfer to a rehabilitation facility after suffering a health scare two weeks ago.
The manager added that Brown fell ill “some time ago.”
She read a letter from Brown’s son, former Councilman Steve Brown, in which he wrote that his father is making strides in his recovery.
“Dad is on his way to getting better to his old self,” reported the former councilman, “but we’re having to take it one day at a time. Right now, every day, everyone is seeing huge improvements from the day before.”
Brown added that once his father is admitted into rehab, his return home will be within reach.
“The one thing that has been made very clear during all of this is that yesterday is just that: yesterday,” Rutkowski said, reading from the letter. “All we have is today, and we hope for tomorrow. Give those you love a great big hug, take nothing for granted, and continue to pray and praise God during everything, no matter the circumstances.”
