Denmark earns rosette in fair’s home division

Peggy Denmark earned the home division’s lone best-overall rosette for her quilt. It was one of three projects she had in the display at the Bradford Agricultural Fair.

Peggy Denmark earned a best-overall rosette for an embroidered, white quilt in the home division’s adult division at the Bradford Agricultural Fair.

It was one of three projects entered by Denmark. She received a red ribbon for her appliqué table runner and a white ribbon for another table runner.

Three others submitted projects in needlework, garments and needlecraft, including Carol Wise, who earned two blue ribbons for a machine-made sampler quilt and a pair of chicken pin cushions. Wise also earned a red ribbon for a July 4/patriot quilt and a white ribbon for an Easter-themed table runner.

Vicki Hay received a blue ribbon for a Christmas-tree skirt, while Kimberly Miller earned a red ribbon for a machine-made Carpenter’s Star quilt.

Youth exhibitors Nicholas Ward and Shawn Ward each earned a white ribbon for their tie-dyed shirts.

Two adults had entries in the home division’s food department, including Hay, who earned a blue ribbon for chocolate-chip cookies.

Carol Beck received a red ribbon for ultimate-oatmeal cookies.
