Bradford High School’s Kaylee Devore was the low-score medalist in a girls golf match against Keystone Heights on Sept. 14 in Starke.
Devore, who made par on one hole, shot a 58, which put her one stroke ahead of Keystone’s Amber Cunningham.
The Tornadoes had only two players, so they didn’t have a team score. However, Bradford’s Sara Rantz placed third overall with a score of 78.
Keystone, which finished with a team score of 319, got a fourth-place score of 80 from Aubrey Brooks. The Indians’ Ashlynn Duncan, Ila Miller and Jasmine Walls each shot a 90.
The Indians, who are 0-4 in matches against full teams, opened the season with a loss at Buchholz on Aug. 24. The Class 3A Bobcats, who placed 13th at state last season, had a score of 200, while the Indians finished at 273.
Brooks, Cunningham and Zoey Gill tied for seventh, each shooting a 67. Miller and Walls each shot a 72 to tie for 10th, while Duncan was 12th with a score of 74.
On Sept. 5, Keystone lost to Oak Hall, finishing with a team score of 301, which was 49 strokes behind the host Eagles.
Cunningham, who made par on one hole, placed third with a score of 59. Brooks and Gill finished sixth and ninth, respectively, with scores of 76 and 81.
Walls shot a 10th-place score of 85, while Miller and Duncan were 11th and 12th, respectively, with scores of 86 and 89.
The Indians placed third in a three-team match on Sept. 12, placing third with a score of 278. Host Palatka had a first-place score of 192, followed by Clay, which had a score of 225.
Duncan had a 10th-place score of 54, while Brooks and Cunningham placed 12th and 13th, respectively, with scores of 71 and 73. Gill was 14th at 80, while Walls was 15th at 86.
