A significant drug bust unfolded Tuesday morning when the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested Cedric Carter of Lawtey in connection with extensive drug sales from his home.

The operation began with the undercover detectives purchasing cocaine from Carter’s residence, confirming suspicions about his involvement in drug trafficking and leading to an arrest warrant and residential search warrant.

Tuesday morning, Carter was stopped during a traffic stop, where detectives detained him. Simultaneously, narcotics detectives alongside the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office and Union County Sheriff’s Office joint SWAT team, executed the search warrant at his home.

The search yielded a substantial amount of illicit substances and illegal items, including: cocaine, crack cocaine, MDMA pills, methamphetamine, suboxone pills, various drug paraphernalia, two firearms, ammunition and $1,400 in U.S. currency.

Carter has been arrested and booked into the Bradford County charges, including: possession with intent to sell and selling cocaine within 1,000 feet of a place of worship, use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony, keeping a public nuisance structure for drug activity, multiple charges of drug possession, and multiple charges of firearm possession by a convicted felon.
