Easley earns 5th-, 7th-place finishes at track and field meet

Bradford High School’s Jaleel Easley took fifth in the boys 400m and also placed seventh in the 110m hurdles at a March 1 track and field meet hosted by Santa Fe High School.

Easley ran the 400m and 110m hurdles in times of 52.56 and 19.13, respectively. He was one of three boys team members to earn a top-10 finish. Parviele Lee was seventh in the shot put with a distance of 38-0.25, while Justin Hall was ninth in the long jump with a distance of 18-7.75.

Bradford earned two top-10 finishes in the girls triple jump, with Ny’Asia Lopey jumping a distance of 28-5.75 and Lysa McKenzie jumping 25-7.5.

Nichelle Brown 13.65, Diamond Fergerson 13.87, Takayla Barnes 14.50; 200m — Kaliyah James 29.11, Fergerson 30.16, Barnes 31.43; long jump — Barnes 13-11.5, James 13-10.25, Chelsie Curtis 9-8.25; discus — Cana Mitchell 39-0, A’drionna Hankerson 29-9; and shot put — Niviah Foster 20-11.25, Jazlyn Hamilton 18-0.25.

Bradford also had the following boys results: 100m — Branden Williams 11.68, Jarell Harris 11.86; 200m — Williams 24.33; 400m — Jeremiah McKenzie 55.49; 800m — Liam Reaves 2:56; 1600m — Reaves 6:34; long jump — Jaydin Williams 12-11.5; discus — William Aldridge 86-9; and shot put — Barron Walden 34-4.25.
