Actor Tory Kittles, has a new starring role on Broadway.
Kittles will play Cephus Miles alongside Brittany Inge and Stori Ayers in a revival of the Tony Award-nominated 1979 play “Home” by Samm-Art Williams.
According to New York Theater Guide, the creative team also includes Tony Award-winning director Kenny Leon, set designer Arnulfo Maldonado, costume designer Dede Ayite, lighting designer Allen Lee Hughes and sound designer Justin Ellington.
“Home” is the story of a man who is devastated when his love interest goes to college and marries another man. It is described as a coming of age story in which Kittles’ characters searches for a new person or place to call home.
The limited engagement at Todd Haimes Theatre runs from May 17 to July 21, with opening night on June 5.
Kittles is the son of Archie Kittles and Elaine Slocum. He stars with Queen Latifa in the CBS series “The Equalizer,” a reboot of the film franchise starring Denzel Washington with Latifa playing the titular role. It debuted to more than 20 million viewers following the Superbowl in 2021 and is currently airing its fourth season.
