STARKE— The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office said the body of a Starke native was found in Newnan’s Lake Monday.
The agency said 36-year-old Glenn Lamar Carter was last seen fishing on the lake east of Gainesville earlier that morning.
The Florida Wildlife Commission joined search efforts after Carter was reported missing.
The sheriff’s Marine Operations and Underwater Recovery Unit found the body later.
