Keystone Heights High School got second-place finishes from Kendall Gagnon and Tyler Griffin at the March 25 Bronco Bob Track and Field Invitational at Middleburg High School.
Gagnon was runner-up in the girls javelin with a distance of 95-7, while Griffin ran the second-best time in the boys 800m (2:08). Griffin also had a third-place finish in the 1600m (4:54), while Gagnon was seventh in the discus (74-8).
The girls team had seven top-eight finishes in all. Kiersten Shaw was fourth in the high jump (4-9.75), sixth in the long jump (14-0.5) and sixth in the 100m hurdles (18.98). She was also a member of the 4x400m relay team, which placed fourth (5:10).
Ella Hutchins took fifth in the 400m (1:11).
On the boys side, Jaden Park placed sixth in the long jump (16-7.25), while Ayden Graff was seventh in the 3200m (12:01).
Shaw and Caleb Moncrief were participants in the March 19 Bob Hayes Invitational at Raines High School in Jacksonville. Moncrief placed sixth out of 58 in the discus (138-9) and was 19th out of 63 in the shot put (44-2). Shaw tied for eighth out of 22 in the high jump (4-10.25) and was 26th out of 62 in the long jump (14-6.5).
On March 22, Shaw won two events at a meet hosted by Palatka. She took the high jump at 1.42 meters and the long jump at 4.57 meters.
Alyssa Sanford and Alexis Taylor were second and third in the high jump, each clearing 1.32, while Shaw added a third-place finish in the 400m (1:10).
The 4x400m team of Parker Collins, Brook Graudons, Olivia Griffin and Kherrington Norman was third (5:20), while the 4x100m team of Kaylee Park, Madeline Sweezy, Sanford and Taylor was fourth (58.81).
Fifth-place finishes were earned by Hutchins in the 400m (1:13) and Rebecca Lasca in the 800m (3:13), while Emily Weiner was sixth in the javelin (14.96).
Park was seventh in the long jump (3.98), while Kinslee Burnaw was eighth in the discus (17.20).
The boys team earned 19 top-eight finishes, with Griffin and Moncrief each placing second in two events: Griffin in the 800m (2:15) and 1600m (5:01) and Moncrief in the shot put (13.93 meters) and discus (43.10).
Bryce Miller was second in the long jump (5.40) and third in the high jump (1.72). while the following placed third: James Thomas was third in the 3200m (12:11), while two relay teams finished fourth: the 4x100m team of Brayden McCall, Jason Parales, Ryeland Wahl and Dakota Leach (53.39) and the 4x400m team of Clark Byrnes, Garrett Jones, Will Begue and Acaden Nilsen (4:45).
Shepherd Rozier earned fifth-place finishes in the 200m (25.32) and the 400m (57.53). Graff was fifth in the 3200m (12:22).
Four sixth-place finishes were earned: Park in the 200m (25.57), Jacob Stahman in the 800m (2:37), Thomas in the high jump (1.37) and Rozier in the long jump (5.13).
McCall was seventh in the high jump (1.32), while Josiah Durrenberger was seventh in the 400m (1:01). Park took eighth in the 1600m (5:38).
