Gifts given and received

From Shop with a Cop to their annual gift haul to the Head Start students, law enforcement representatives help end every year on a high note for local kids, making the dawn of a new year that much brighter. Bradford County Sheriff’s Office employees and Florida Council on Crime and Delinquency members took armfuls of presents to students in Episcopal Children’s Services preschool program. Housed at the RJE complex, the program offers early education to young children to help prepare them for kindergarten. The subsidized school readiness program serves eligible low-income families who need assistance with childcare. In addition to addressing children’s physical, cognitive, social and emotional development, the program also works with parents to help them support their child’s ongoing education. The Bradford County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Council on Crime and Delinquency play Santa for this group of youngsters every year. FCCD is a nonprofit corporation made up of personnel from multiple agencies that promotes high professional standards, thereby serving the public through the prevention and reduction of crime and delinquency.
