City Manager Kim Hayes introduced new Public Works Director Mike Gray to the city commission during the five-member panel’s June 17 meeting.
Gray told commissioners he is a graduate of Santa Fe High School and has operated a business over the last 32 years, building fences and pole barns.
“Been pretty successful,” he said of his business. “Things have slacked down here the last few years, and I think COVID has had something to do with that. But I’m looking forward to working with the city, trying to get some things straightened out around here, maybe a little bit, and get these guys motivated. Let’s clean this city up and maybe have something we can all be proud of.”
