Keystone Heights High School’s Tyler Griffin was the runner-up in the boys race at the Sept. 24 Suwannee Invitational in Live Oak, while his sister, Olivia, placed eighth in the girls race.
Tyler Griffin finished the 90-member boys race with a time of 17:27. He trailed only Baker County’s Troy Winkler, who won the race with a time of 17:09.
Five other KHHS boys runners placed in the top half of the field: Anthony Peak with a 30th-place time of 20:29, Jaden Park with a 31st-place time of 20:32, Ryder Thomas with a 39th-place time of 21:08, Josiah Durrenberger with a 41st-place time of 21:30 and Shepherd Rozier with a 45th-place time of 21:50.
Liam Callahan also ran for the Indians, finishing with a time of 22:53.
Olivia Griffin ran a time of 22:44 in the 70-member girls race.
Also running for Keystone were Alexis Taylor (27:46), Ella Hutchins (27:56), Kendall Gagnon (30:56) and Shaylyn Williams (41:41).
