HCA softball team is 2nd in conference tourney

8-9 in High Springs.

The Lions bounced back from a one-run loss in eight innings and staved off elimination the first day by overcoming a large deficit for a 15-12 win.

“(Our) girls played in an absolute downpour of a game on the first night, coming back from an 11-0 score after the end of the third inning, where they had to win to move on to the second day of the tournament,” Hope Athletic Director J.J. Schofield said.

Brianna Bradshaw and Mackenzie McRaney earned all-tournament honors, while Brooke Parrish and Paige Tolley received all-conference recognition.

Hope placed third in the baseball tournament, with Walker Monroe being named to the all-tournament team. Nathan Banks and Bryce Cadye received all-conference honors.
