Hewitt leads Bradford at weightlifting regionals

Marcus Hewitt earned an eighth-place finish for the Bradford High School boys weightlifting team, which concluded its season at the April 8 Region 2-1A finals at Keystone Heights High School.

Hewitt had a bench press of 190 and a clean and jerk of 145 to finish with a 335 overall total in the 129-pound class.

The Tornadoes also got an 11th-place finish from Easton Wynn and a 12th-place finish from Jacob Brugh. Wynn had a 490 total (285 bench press, 205 clean and jerk) in the 238 class, while Brugh had a 375 total (200, 175) in the 154 class.
