The City of Raiford will not hold an election on Oct. 10 because only one person qualified for each seat.
At the time of qualifying, the offices of mayor and all five city council seats were up for re-election.
When qualifying was over, only one candidate qualified for each seat, so they were automatically the winners.
Long-time Mayor Lamar Griffis will retain his office, as will his wife, Councilwoman Sheila Benita Griffis.
Randal Griffis is again a council member, as are Sheryldere Richard and Deana Myers.

The new face on the council, filling the empty seat, is Vivian Darlene Griffis, wife of council member Randal Griffis.
All will officially be sworn in for their new terms on Wednesday, Oct. 11.
The mayor’s annual salary is $3,601.68, or about $300.60 monthly. Council members make $2,493.48 a year, or about $207.70 monthly.
