It was a 1-2-3 finish for the Keystone Heights High School individual players as the girls golf team shot a team score of 200 to defeat visiting Palatka by 48 strokes on Oct. 5.
Candace Jackson had a birdie and made par on three holes to finish as the medalist with a score of 40. It was the third time she’s placed first this season and the seventh time she’s finished in the top two. Jackson also has one third-place finish this season.
Jackson has been the Indians’ top golfer in each match and has made par on 33 of the 81 holes she’s played. She has a total of four birdies.
M.J. Rivera, who made par on four holes, placed second with a season-best score of 41. It was the second time she’s placed second this season and the sixth time she’s placed in the top five.
Mia Rivera, who had her first birdie, shot a season-best 42 to take third.
Rexi Lewis and Rebecca Binet placed seventh and ninth, respectively, with scores of 67 and 73.
The Indians (6-7) will host Buchholz on Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 4 p.m.
