Indians win division at JJVA tournament —

Kaleigh Marquart had 98 assists in five matches at the Wawa Jacksonville Juniors Volleyball Association River City High School Classic.

Keystone Heights High School went 4-1 and own its division at the Sept. 12-13 Wawa Jacksonville Juniors Volleyball Association River City High School Classic.

The Indians (10-5) began play with a 2-0 (25-13, 25-14) win over North Marion, getting 10 kills each from Kadence Massey and Mia Rivera. Massey also had six digs and three service aces, while Rivera added five digs.

Bella Cumbo led the team in digs with eight, while Kaleigh Marquart recorded 21 assists and five aces.

Mackenzie Castlevecchi had two blocks.

Keystone got eight kills from Rivera and seven kills from Massey in defeating Eastside 2-0 (25-14, 25-14).

Marquart had 18 assists, while Cumbo and Rivera had six and five digs, respectively.

The Indians lost 2-1 (25-20, 22-25, 16-14) to Bishop Snyder, with Rivera recording eight kills and six digs.

Massey and Bralee-Kate Chester each had six kills, with Massey also recording 10 digs.

Marquart had 24 assists, while Rachel Blank had six digs.

Keystone bounced back from the loss, defeating St. Johns Country Day 2-0 (25-22, 25-13). Marquart had 20 assists, while Rivera and Massey had seven and six kills, respectively. Massey led the team in digs with nine, while Rivera added five.

The Indians played Bishop Snyder again, this time defeating the Cardinals 2-0 (25-23, 25-13).

Massey had eight kills and eight digs, while Rivera had seven kills and five digs.

Marquart had 15 assists, while Castlevecchi had two blocks.

Prior to the tournament, the Indians played Interlachen, defeating the host Rams 3-1 (25-20, 15-25, 27-25, 25-19) on Sept. 9.

Rivera and Massey had 11 and seven kills, respectively, with Massey also recording six digs and six aces.

Cumbo had a team-high 14 digs, while Marquart had 29 assists.

Chester had four blocks.

Keystone hosts St. Johns Country Day on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 7 p.m. The Indians host Ridgeview on Thursday, Sept. 18, Clay on Monday, Sept. 22, and Orange Park on Tuesday, Sept. 23. The matches are all at 7 p.m., with the JV teams playing at 6 p.m.
