The 3rd Annual Keystone Heights Christmas Tree Lighting was a lively celebration and a display of community spirit, with close to 300 attendees gathered to enjoy festive Christmas music, while children crafted colorful ornaments. Many warmed up with steaming mugs of rich hot cocoa, funnel cakes from Lake Area Regions Kiwanis. Santa’s presence added a touch of magic, making it a memorable evening that beautifully captured the essence of the holiday season.

The event occurred on Saturday, November 29th, at the Nature Park in Downtown Keystone Heights.

Everyone was encouraged to vote for their favorite tree using a ballot or a QR code.

There are 12 trees to choose from, and voting for the Parade of Trees will continue until the end of the month. The winners will be announced on January 5th at the Council meeting and on Facebook.

“The celebration was made possible thanks to the support of the Clay County Public Library, Lake Area Region Kiwanis Club, and the Watering Hole for the Parade of Trees. I hope everyone have a wonderful time and enjoy the magic of the parade of trees,” said Nina Rodenroth, Mayor of the City of Keystone Heights.

The Parade of Trees will be on display until the end of December. Everyone is encouraged to visit and vote.
