KH teen killed in Oakleaf crash

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS— The Florida Highway Patrol said an 18-year-old Keystone Heights man and a 17-year-old Middleburg girl were killed when the car they were in left the roadway, hit a tree, overturned, and came to rest in a retention pond in the Oakleaf Plantation area.

FHP said in a news release that the 11:45 p.m., Friday, November 24 crash occurred while the 17-year-old was driving the vehicle southbound on Oakleaf Plantation Parkway.

Both the driver and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene by Clay County Fire Rescue.
