Bradford High School hosted a three-team boys golf match on Sept. 23 at the Starke Golf and Country Club, with Middleburg taking the top spot ahead of the second-place Indians and the third-place Tornadoes.
The Indians had a score of 174, which left them trailing the Broncos by 11 strokes. The Tornadoes had a score of 178.
Keystone’s Landon Spence was the medalist, finishing with an individual score of 38. He had a birdie and made par on five holes, putting him one stroke ahead of Middleburg’s Logan Wahlstrom.
Bradford’s Patrick Pendarvis finished in a two-way tie for sixth with a score of 43. He made par on two holes.
The Indians Nate Bardier and Baylor Ford and the Tornadoes’ Charlie Zink each shot a 44 to tie for eighth. Bardier and Zink made par on four holes, while Ford made par on three.
Bradford’s Avery Burgin finished in a two-way tie for 11th with a score of 45. He had a birdie and made par on two holes.
Tucker Griffis, who made par on one hole, shot a 13th-place score of 46 for the Tornadoes.
Keystone’s Will Begue shot a 14th-place score of 48, while the Tornadoes’ Steven Carter and Indians’ Luke Lewis each shot a 52 to tie for 15th. Carter and Lewis each made par on one hole.
The Indians’ Jackson McDaniel and the Tornadoes’ Mason Stone placed 17th and 18th, respectively, with scores of 54 and 57. McDaniel made par on one hole.
Keystone next plays Ridgeview at Fleming Island’s Eagle Harbor Golf Club on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 3:30 p.m.
Bradford hosts Union County on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 4 p.m. and will then travel to play Trinity Christian on Monday, Sept. 29, at Jacksonville’s Bent Creek Golf Course at 4 p.m.
