The Florida High School Athletic Association announced its Academic Team Champions in winter sports, with the Keystone Heights High School boys basketball team ranking third among Class 4A teams.
Any school that competes in FHSAA-sanctioned sports and has an average team GPA of at least 3.0 (unweighted) is eligible for nomination.
Keystone’s boys basketball team had a cumulative GPA of 3.432 to place behind Fort Lauderdale’s Pine Crest (3.738) and Yulee (3.461).
Four additional Keystone teams placed in the top 20 in their respective sports and classifications. The girls basketball team was 12th in 4A with a team GPA of 3.466, the boys soccer team 12th in 3A with a GPA of 3.524, the girls wrestling team 17th in 1A (the sport’s only classification) with a GPA of 3.495 and the girls soccer team 19th in 3A with a GPA of 3.532.
