Keystone Heights High School got two birdies from Ty Mitzel in a three-team boys golf match in which the Indians placed behind Buchholz and Crystal River on Aug. 29 at Gainesville’s Ironwood Golf Course.
The Indians (1-2) had a team score of 174, while Buchholz and Crystal River each finished with a score of 166.
Mitzel, who made par on three holes, placed fifth with a score of 41.
Nate Bardier and Konner Kelly each made par on four holes, with Bardier tying for sixth with a score of 43 and Kelly tying for eighth with a score of 44.
Also competing for Keystone were Jacob Beach and Will Begue, who finished with scores of 46 and 47, respectively. Beach made par on three holes, while Begue had a birdie.
The Indians’ Cade Begue made par on two holes in shooting a 54.
Keystone travels to play Bradford and Branford on Tuesday, Sept. 3, at the Starke Golf and Country Club and will travel to the University of Florida Mark Bostick Golf Course to play P.K. Yonge on Thursday, Sept. 5, at 3:30 p.m.
On Monday, Sept. 9, the Indians will play in the Randy Warren Invitational, which begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Fleming Island Golf Club.
