The Keystone Heights High School boys golf team competed in the 24-team, 18-hole Randy Warren Invitational on Sept. 8 at The Golf Club at Fleming Island, placing 20th with a score of 366.
Beachside won the event with a score of 284.
Nate Bardier led the Indians, finishing in a four-way tie for 83rd with a score of 88. Bardier, one of 120 individual golfers, made par on eight holes.
Will Begue, Luke Lewis and Landon Spence each made par on four holes for the Indians. Begue and Spence had scores of 89 and 93, respectively, while Lewis shot a 96.
Sammy Wacha, who made par on three holes, finished at 98.
Keystone entered the invitational off a second-place finish in a three-team match at Gainesville’s Ironwood Golf Course on Sept. 2.
The Indians had a score of 176 to finish behind Buchholz, which had a score of 155. Gainesville finished behind Keystone with a score of 210.
Begue, who made par on four holes, shot a fifth-place score of 42, while Baylor Ford, who also made par on four holes, shot a 44 to finish in a three-way tie for seventh.
Bardier and Spence each had a score of 45 to finish in a tie for 10th. Each golfer made par on two holes, with Spence also making a birdie.
Jackson McDanile had a birdie and made par on one hole to finish with a score of 47, while Wacha shot a 52.
Keystone will play P.K. Yonge on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at the Mark Bostick Golf Course at the University of Florida at 4 p.m.
