KHHS boys soccer team gets another shutout win

Keystone Heights High School had dropped three matches in a row in boys soccer, but the Indians have now won three straight, with the latest win coming by a score of 8-0 at District 4-3A opponent Interlachen on Dec. 16.

Aaron Wiley scored four goals and had one assist as the Indians (8-4-1) improved to 3-1-1 in the district.

A.J. Nilsen scored two goals, while Luke Brunt and Noah Jaramillo each had one.

Brunt and Sammy Wacha led the team in assists with two apiece. Landon Spence added one.

Each win in the Indians’ current streak has been a shutout on the road, with Nate Bardier handling goalie duties in all three.

Keystone ended its losing streak with a 10-0 win at Trinity Christian on Dec. 12 in which the second half wasn’t played due to the mercy rule.

Wiley scored five goals, while Brunt and Wacha each had two. Ryder Thomas added one goal.

Wacha and Wiley each had two assists, with the following each recording one: Brunt, Thomas and Kipton Spence.

On Dec. 13, the Indians got two goals and an assist from Wiley in a 4-0 district win at Palatka.

Brunt and Thomas each had one goal and one assist.

Nilsen also had one assist.

Keystone hosts Middleburg on Thursday, Dec. 19, at 7:20 p.m.
