Trenton Noble scored both goals for the Keystone Heights High School boy soccer team in its 3-2 loss to Eastside in the Jan. 23 District 4-3A tournament semifinals in Alachua.

The third seed Rams (6-8-3) play top seed Santa Fe (10-4-3) for the championship on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Second seed Keystone (11-8-3) fell behind 1-0 in the second minute, but soon evened the score on a Noble goal in the fifth minute.

It remained 1-1 until Eastside’s Ryder Wubble scored with less than six minutes remaining in the first half.

Keystone goalie Elijah Ortiz made a save on a close-in shot attempt by the Rams in the 43rd minute, but Eastside was successful in the 44th minute, with Wubble scoring and giving his team a 3-1 lead.

The Indians’ Noah Jaramillo took a shot that was just high and left of the mark in the 58th minute, while teammate Ryder Thomas had a good look in the 63rd minute that the Eastside goalie made a save on.

Noble made it a 3-2 game with a goal in the 68th minute.

Jaramillo came close to tying it up in the final seconds with a long shot that took a bounce that almost got past the Eastside goalie.

Nathan Benson and Garrett Jones recorded assists on Nobles’ goals.
