KHHS boys team is 12th of 32 at New World race

Tyler Griffin placed 24th out of 407 individuals to lead the Keystone Heights High School boys cross country team, which placed 12th out of 32 teams at the Oct. 8 New World Fall Spectacular in Jacksonville.

Griffin, who had a time of 17:32, was one of five KHHS runners to place in the top half of the field. Ryder Thomas was 62nd with a time of 18:30, while Anthony Peak was 124th with a time of 19:39. Shepherd Rozier and Jaden Park were 161st and 165th, respectively, with times of 20:11 and 20:13.

The Indians also got a 244th-place time of 21:31 from Josiah Durrenberger and a 323rd-place time of 23:16 from Liam Callahan.

Olivia Griffin led the girls team, placing 31st out of 289 with a time of 21:47. Alexis Taylor and Ella Hutchins placed 93rd and 134th, respectively, with times of 24:02 and 25:10, while Kendall Gagnon finished 187th with a time of 26:51.

Clara Beth Robinson also ran, finishing with a time of 33:28 for KHHS, which placed 18th out of 25 in the girls team standings.
