KHHS football team has top team GPA in 2S

Keystone Heights High School’s football team is a Florida High School Athletic Association Academic Champion for the second time in three years with a cumulative team GPA of 3.311.

The Indians topped the schools in Class 2S, finishing ahead of Fernandina Beach, which had a team GPA of 3.204.

Academic Champions are named for each sport in each classification. A team with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on an unweighted scale of 4.0 can be nominated by its athletic director.

The Indians were Academic Champion of their class in 2020 as well. They were fifth in their class in 2019 and fourth in 2021.

Keystone’s volleyball team had the 14th-best GPA among nominated schools in Class 4A at 3.531. The boys cross country team had the 15th-best GPA in Class 2A at 3.6, while the boys golf team had the 18th-best GPA in 1A at 3.631.
