KHHS girls keep rolling in soccer with win over Crescent City

Kayden Huntley scored two goals for the Keystone Heights High School girls soccer team, which won its sixth match in a row by defeating host Crescent City 3-2 on Jan. 10.

Kaylee Park scored a goal as well, while Kayle Buchanan, Tayler Buchanan and Kaleigh Coffey each had one assist.

Goalie Aspen Krohn made nine saves.

The win capped a week in which the Indians went 3-0.

On Jan. 7, Keystone got one goal each from Huntley and Halea Lam in a 2-0 win over visiting Ridgeview on Jan. 7. Alexis VanNordstrand recorded an assist, while Krohn made four saves.

The Indians earned a 3-2 road win against Newberry on Jan. 8, getting two goals from Huntley and one goal from Park. Kayle Buchanan had three assists, while Krohn made six saves.

On Jan. 13, Keystone was awarded a forfeit victory over Suwannee, bringing the Indians record to 14-4-2.

Keystone hosts Columbia onTuesday, Jan. 14, at 7:20 p.m. and will travel to play Episcopal on Thursday, Jan. 16, at 5:30 p.m.
